With the unwavering support of CounterPress Media, we're thrilled to launch our site the morning after the Joan Gamper Trophy match, which traditionally kicks off a new FC Barcelona season.

We've talked a lot on X - where phenomenal growth has been achieved in a short amount of time - about what to expect from our project. But it doesn't hurt to run over that again.

From us, you can expect authentic, independent coverage of the world's biggest club with zero ads and zero clickbait available via your browser on the fantastic CounterPress app.

We're not out to rival any other sites, many of whom we know the writers and editors of, and all of which we consider colleagues. There's more than enough space for all of us to cover Barça as we see fit, and get along nicely supporting one another.

However, we believe we're different. Primarily in English, but also routinely in Catalan and Castellano (Spanish), where else can you find multiple in-depth, FC Barcelona-related articles - from tactics and analysis, to opinion, to home and away terrace culture and historical content among news and interviews - PLUS a weekly podcast and newsletters?

All for the price of a cafè amb llet and a pastry in Les Corts, or an entrepà sandwich of your fancy.

Like the best Barça sides, we're a healthy mix of foreigners and Catalans, of youth and experience. With the vast majority of our team based on the ground in Barcelona attending matches, coverage also comes from the Camp Nou press box, the stands of the Gol Sud and those of other grounds around Spain whenever striking it lucky with the ticket lottery then sweating it out on the members' bus.

It's something else that's been said in other corners, but we'd once again like to thank you for the overwhelming support for our brand of independent journalism - the record number of sign-ups, and the phenomenal speed our X account has grown at.

We're building something that's more than a site and a podcast, or a media offering. This is a community we want you to feel a part of as much as ourselves, where healthy and respectful debate is always encouraged as are suggestions and constructive criticism.
