The 1899 is a primarily a passion project by Culers and for Culers.

With a mix of youth, experience, foreigners and Catalans like the best FC Barcelona teams, we're excellently placed to provide you authentic, independent coverage of the world's biggest club from the Camp Nou press box, the stands of the Gol Sud, and beyond.

We'll heavily analyse what goes on during the 90 minutes, but we also want to go beyond the surface and really get into the nuance, context and genuine depth of the club's current topics.

Taking a deeper dive into Barça's rich near-127 history is important to us too, and authentically presenting what the local matchgoing experience is like for members both home and away.

In the English language at least, we don't believe that this has been done before and are convinced we're building something special: more than just a site and podcast - a community no better seen than on social media where we have experienced phenomenal growth in a short amount of time.
