BREAKING NEWS: FC Barcelona left back Alejandro Balde reportedly decides to leave the club

Alejandro Balde has decided not to continue at FC Barcelona, according to Jijantes. 

The decision comes after head coach Hansi Flick had already left the player’s future open, through comments made at a prematch press conference to preview Sunday’s clash with Elche.

"We're making a lot of changes. We have to wait until the end of the transfer window. These are things that happen when you want to strengthen the team. I was clear with the players," the German said. 

“Balde has a lot of quality. For me, it’s important that you are fully committed to competing for your position. That’s what I want to see.” he also added elsewhere, in remarks that were taken as a hint that the 22-year-old might not be fully-dedicated to the cause or prepared to fight for his position.

Premier League giants Manchester United are one of the clubs most interested in the player. They're looking to assess the conditions of a potential deal, and explore the feasibility of a move before the transfer window closes. 

The English club, which lost to Hull City 2-0 on Saturday, are keen to strengthen their squad with top-level talent, while Sporting Director Deco is hoping to secure a good deal that would allow FC Barcelona to continue pursuing new signings in the final stages of the transfer market.

On Thursday, Deco met with Balde’s agent Jorge Mendes, to discuss the future of both the defender and midfielder Marc Casadó, who is also expected to leave his boyhood club before the close of the ongoing transfer window.

As both players are La Masia graduates, their sales would represent pure profit for the club which has strengthened its squad with the arrivals of Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Rodri and a player that dislodged Balde from the starting XI last season in João Cancelo.

On Sunday against Elche, either Cancelo or another academy product in Jordi Pesquer, who has impressed in preseason, is expected to get the nod in the Blaugrana's 2026/2027 La Liga opener.

Aquest matí l'entrenador Hansi Flick deia el següent sobre el jugador deixant el futur a l'aire: "Estem fent molts canvis. Hem d'esperar fins a final del mercat. Són coses que passen quan vols reforçar l'equip. Vaig ser clar amb els jugadors."

"Balde té molta qualitat. Per a mi és important que estigui convençut de competir en la seva posició. És el que vull veure." 

El Manchester United és un dels equips més interessats en el jugador i volen tantejar les condicions del jugador i explorar la viabilitat d'una operació abans del tancament de la finestra de traspassos.

Des d'Anglaterra busquen reforçar la seva plantilla amb talent de primer nivell, mentre que Deco vol fer una bona operació per a poder continuar buscant jugadors en la recta final del mercat.

Esta mañana el entrenador Hansi Flick decía lo siguiente sobre el jugador dejando el futuro al aire: "Estamos haciendo muchos cambios. Debemos esperar hasta final del mercado. Son cosas que pasan cuando quieres reforzar el equipo. Fui claro con los jugadores."  

"Balde tiene mucha calidad. Para mí es importante que se esté convencido de competir en tu posición. Es lo que quiero ver." 

El Manchester United es uno de los equipos más interesados en el jugador y quieren tantear las condiciones del jugador y explorar la viabilidad de una operación antes del cierre de la ventana de traspasos.

Desde Inglaterra buscan reforzar su plantilla con talento de primer nivel, mientras que Deco quiere hacer una buena operación para poder seguir buscando jugadores en la recta final del mercado.
