Hamza Renewal a Sign FC Barcelona are Learning From the Past

Though it wasn't a huge shock in the grand scheme of things, as the intention of the club to do so had already been reported, Hamza Abdelkarim's contract renewal still had an element of surprise to it when FC Barcelona announced the development on Catalonia's National Day at around 13:30 local time.
The Egyptian is now tied down until mid-2030, but what's perhaps most important is that his release clause has been increased from a relatively low €15 million to ten times that amount at €150 million according to Jijantes.
Barça didn't disclose these figures, but they're not hard to believe. After arriving on loan from Al-Ahly halfway through last season, Hamza impressed enough for the Blaugrana to buy him permanently for what could prove to be a bargain €1.5 million with another €5 million in add-ons possible if certain objectives are met.
