I’ve done it close to two hundred times now, but it never gets old.
Since moving to Barcelona from São Paulo in 2019, seeing every home game at either the Camp Nou, the Mini Estadi or in Montjuic save for the Covid season and a couple of family emergencies has been the biggest blessing of my career.
The 2026/2027 campaign is the first that Barça will start at Camp Nou since Xavi Hernandez's La Liga-winning effort four years ago. And though many members are away on their traditional August holidays during a period in which Catalunya generally shuts up shop, the Joan Gamper Trophy match is considered the season opener.
